“醫生，你這樣絕對不能成為一個成功的獸醫師”
我的朋友很不服氣，就問那個老同事
”那你覺得怎樣是個成功的獸醫師“
”能夠賺到最多錢的獸醫師，就是一個成功的獸醫師“
五年前的我，聽到這樣的話，必定是憤憤不平，的確，我當獸醫從來就不是為了賺錢，但是多年來的歷練，告訴我別人怎麼想，我是沒有辦法改變的
對於惟利是圖的獸醫師，我只能一笑致之，並且在心裡希望在賺錢的同時，他也可以為動物帶來健康。
畢竟獸醫師誓詞裡面也沒有說不能賺錢啊..
"Being admitted to the profession of veterinary medicine,
I solemnly swear to use my scientific knowledge and skills
for the benefit of society
through the protection of animal health,
the relief of animal suffering,
the conservation of livestock resources,
the promotion of public health
and the advancement of medical knowledge.
I will practice my profession conscientiously, with dignity
and in keeping with the principles of veterinary medical ethics.
I accept as a lifelong obligation the continual improvement
of my professional knowledge and competence."

獸醫師誓詞裡面有三個重點，
第一，是我們要利用我們的科學知識與技能，減輕動物痛苦，保護動物健康，促進公共衛生與醫學進步
第二，是我們會有尊嚴的，遵照獸醫倫理的執行我們的獸醫師工作。
第三，持續精進我們的專業知識與能力是我們一生的責任
成功的獸醫師？太過主觀的問題，我只求問心無愧
