this week ortho 1 is Dr. Dejardin, and Ortho 2 is Dr. Flo.
yesterday we have seen 2 CrCL rupture, 1 Elbow inconcruity and 1 hip OA due to old trauma. and all the other cases i really don't have time to work with.
therefore i have to work with Dr. Dejardin with 1 TPLO and 1 THR tomorrow.
Besides that, i have to attend Resident round which holds on 7:30 every morning.
So, I have to study rounds materials prior to Impress the faculties to ensure i can IMPRESS them to help me get into the residentship next year, and also study surgery to ensure i don't got boost by students or clinicians during surgery.
Due to the extremely case load yesterday, i got chance to talk with the clients, i found it extremely hard to pay attention to client and to write chart at the same time, to speak about disease is 1 thing, to ask more detailed things is another.
Anyway, for those who is wondering what i do at MSU, i am kind of between student and clinician, 1 step below resident, 1 step above students, due to board law, i am not allowed to sign prescriptions but i could make it myself and have someone sign it, the staff here discuss cases with me as i am a doctor, i may have some chance to cut, but i have to earn it by behave good and presume the clinicians that i am capable/comfortable doing it.
Share the cases? i am too busy to do it, maybe next time. wish me good luck though. i will go camping this weekend with the residents, its the resident retreat. wish i could really relax and have fun before i come back.
